Step 1: Open Petty Cash Inbox

Click Inbox under the Petty Cash module from the sidebar.

The Inbox displays all uploaded petty cash vouchers, allowing you to review, process, and manage employee expense claims and cash payments before posting them to Tally.

Step 2: Upload Petty Cash Invoice

Click the Upload button and upload your petty cash invoice or voucher.

Accomation.io supports digital expense documents, enabling accountants to capture petty cash transactions quickly while maintaining organized records for bookkeeping and audit purposes.

Step 3: Open Uploaded Entry

After the upload is complete, click the Invoice Number to open the petty cash entry.

This allows you to review extracted information, verify transaction details, and prepare the entry before posting it to your accounting software.

Step 4: Choose Entry Mode

Select the required posting mode: Without Item, Journal, or Payment.

Choose the mode that best matches your accounting workflow and transaction requirements.

1. Without Item Mode

Creates an expense entry using a Purchase Voucher and a corresponding Payment Voucher.

2. Journal Mode

Creates an expense entry using a Journal Voucher and a corresponding Payment Voucher.

3. Payment Mode

Creates only a single Payment Voucher.

Step 5: Map Ledgers and Details

Map the Payment Ledger, Party Ledger, and/or Petty Cash Ledger during the first transaction. These mappings are remembered for future entries, reducing manual work. Complete the remaining Basic Details, Payment Details, and Item Details.

The expense narration is transferred to the expense voucher, while the payment description becomes the payment voucher narration in Tally.

Step 6: Save or Push Entry

After verifying all details, click Save Changes, Push to Review, or Approve and Push to Tally.

Accomation.io processes the petty cash transaction according to the selected mode, ensuring accurate voucher creation, automated ledger posting, and seamless integration with Tally.
