Step 1: Open an invoice or add manual invoice in the inbox section

Step 2: Select the party ledger to activate the set-off section

Step 3: In the set off section, click on the against reference icon.

A pop up with advance payments created before the invoice date will show up.

Step 4: Select the relevant advance entry from the list to set off against the current invoice.

Step 5: Enter the amount to be set off. The rest of the amount will be recorded as new reference.

Step 6: You can now save the changes to save the reference. OR fill rest of the details and push the entry to review or Tally
