Step 1: Enable Godown and Batch

In the invoice, click the Configure icon to enable the Godown and Batch features according to your business requirements.

Activating these options allows you to manage warehouse-wise inventory allocation and batch tracking while processing sales transactions.

Step 2: Select the Stock Item

Under the With Item option, select the required stock item.

Choosing the correct inventory item ensures accurate stock allocation, inventory tracking, and proper posting of quantities to the respective godowns in Tally.

Step 3: Open Item Allocation

Click the Item Allocation icon to manage how the selected stock item will be distributed.

This feature allows you to allocate inventory across multiple warehouses while maintaining complete visibility of stock movement.

Step 4: Allocate Stock Across Godowns

Distribute the stock quantity by allocating it to the required godowns.

Proper warehouse allocation improves inventory control, supports multi-location stock management, and ensures accurate warehouse-wise stock records.

Step 5: Enter Batch Details

If you maintain inventory batch-wise, enter the required batch details for the selected stock item.

Batch management helps improve product traceability, stock monitoring, expiry tracking, and inventory accuracy.

Note: If you maintain multiple units for a stock item, both unit conversions will automatically be displayed, making quantity verification easier.

Step 6: Configure Your View

Customize the screen layout according to your workflow by configuring the visible fields.

This improves usability, allows faster data entry, and helps accountants focus only on the information relevant to their inventory process.

Step 7: Save the Allocation

Once all stock quantities have been allocated correctly, click Save.

The allocation is stored and becomes ready for further processing, ensuring accurate warehouse records, batch tracking, and seamless accounting integration.
