Step 1: Enable Excel Mode

Turn on Excel Mode by switching the Excel toggle on.

This enables the bulk Excel upload feature, allowing you to import multiple sales transactions efficiently instead of entering invoices manually, saving valuable accounting time.

Step 2: Click the Upload Icon

Click the Upload icon to begin importing your Excel file.

The upload wizard guides you through each stage of the import process, ensuring your sales data is prepared correctly for mapping, validation, and processing.

Step 3: Upload the Excel File

Attach the prepared Excel spreadsheet and click Next.

Ensure your file contains properly structured sales transaction data so Accomation.io can accurately read and process each record during the import workflow.

Step 4: Select Transaction Type

Choose the appropriate transaction type: With Item, Without Item, or Journal. Selecting the correct data type ensures invoices are processed correctly and accounting entries are generated accurately for your business requirements.

Step 5: Map Excel Columns

Map the required and optional fields with the corresponding Excel columns.

Ensure there are no blank column headers and no extra rows above the header row. Proper field mapping improves import accuracy and allows future uploads to be completed much faster.

Step 6: Proceed to Validation

Click Next after completing the field mapping.

Accomation.io validates your Excel mapping before import, helping detect configuration issues early and ensuring your accounting data is correctly aligned with system fields.

Step 7: Review and Save

Review the preview table carefully and click Save to complete the upload.

Once saved, the Excel data is imported into the Sales Excel Inbox, where it is ready for review, approval, and pushing to Tally.

After saving, your Excel sheet is uploaded successfully, and all imported sales transactions become visible on the screen for further editing, validation, review, or direct posting to Tally.
